This combustion device includes a fuel receiving portion 10 provided with a recessed inner portion 11 as a part for receiving the charged granular solid fuel and burning the same, and having a ventilation portion 13 of an air-permeable bottom portion on at least a part of the bottom portion 12 to supply the combustion air from the bottom portion 12 to the recessed inner portion 11, an air distributing means 20 for forcibly supplying the combustion air to the inner portion 11 of the fuel receiving portion 10 through the ventilation portion 13 of the bottom portion, and a sidewall 34 surrounding the fuel receiving portion 10, and disposed while at least partially having a clearance 32 to an outer peripheral portion 18 of the fuel receiving portion 10, and further includes an external case 33 comprising a case bottom portion 36 disposed at a lower part of the fuel receiving portion 10 to receive ash falling after stirred up in combustion.
