To prevent the increase of temperature by positively depriving an injector of heat instead of the negative method of heat insulation wherein the injector is covered with a heat insulation material made of resin so as to prevent the increase of temperature from occurring.
A fuel absorbing body 9 to absorb a part of fuel sprayed through the injector 3 is securely adhered to the fuel injection side of the injector 3. The fuel absorbing body 9 is a porous material 9a and arranged such that a part of fuel injected from the injector 3 collides directly against the edge part of a tip. Fuel absorbed by the fuel absorbing body 9 is heated by a combustion heat for vaporization. Since, during vaporization of fuel, fuel deprives a periphery of a latent heat of vaporization, the injector 3 securely fixed to the fuel absorbing body 9 is cooled. Since the injector 3 is forcibly cooled as a result of fuel being vaporized, as described above, by the fuel absorbing body 9, the increase of the temperature of the injector 3 is suppressed even when the injector is exposed to a flame for a long time.
