In this combustion device, a fuel injecting section W injecting a gas fuel G to a combustion space is disposed to inject the gas fuel G from a side part of the combustion space, and a combustion air supply section is disposed to supply the combustion air to a combustion area of the gas fuel G in the combustion space from an upper part of the fuel injecting section. The fuel injecting section W is constituted by arranging a burner B1 for thick combustion, injecting the gas fuel in a state that an air ratio is 1 or less, and a burner B2 for lean combustion, injecting the gas fuel in a state that the air ratio is 1 or more in the horizontal direction, and a gas fuel injecting speed of the burner 1 for thick combustion is higher than that of the burner B2 for lean combustion.
