Title:
COMBUSTION LIGHT SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6454318
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a stable combustion light signal as well as in premixed combustion even in diffused combustion in an insufficient combustion state by cutting combustion light in the radiation wavelength band of soot in the entire wavelength range of combustion light optically and electrically. CONSTITUTION:The combustion light guide out from a combustion light detection end 3 installed opened in the combustion chamber 2 of an engine 1 is guided to a photoelectric converter 6 in a control unit 5 through an optical fiber cable 4 and converted into an electric signal. Here, the combustion light detected by the detection end 3 is guided to the cable 4 through a connector 15 and guided to the photodetecting element 19 of the converter 6 through a connector 17 and an optical filter 18. This filter 18 in use cuts light in a 700-900nm wavelength band or the element 19 is use has spectral sensitivity characteristics in a 400-700 or >=900nm wavelength band; and a 700-900nm wavelength band is removed to eliminate the influence of radiant light from soot which causes an abnormal signal.
