PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of the combustion efficiency from occurring even at the time of starting a main fuel supply or the like by flowing primary air together with a pilot fuel, further flowing secondary air together with a first stage main fuel, and still further flowing tertiary air together with a second main fuel.
CONSTITUTION: Primary air is supplied from a swirler 201 to a burner 204, secondary air is supplied thereto from a swirler 202, and tertiary air is supplied to the burner through a pilot fuel nozzle 205 attached to the primary air swirler, a first stage main fuel is supplied thereto through a main fuel nozzle 206 attached to the secondary air swirler, and second stage main fuel is supplied thereto through a main fuel nozzle 207 attached to a tertiary air swirler, thus carrying out the combustion. When power is low, combustion is carried out only by the pilot fuel. Further, the first stage main fuel, and still further the second stage main fuel are added thereto in accordance with the increase in the power to carry out the combustion. Where, the combustion can be carried out continuously without lowering the combustion efficiency.
