Title:
COMBUSTION STABILIZING STRUCTURE FOR OIL BURNING APPLIANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3780844
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the combustion of an oil burning appliance even when the combustion is small in scale by regulating the air flowing in the appliance through an air flow-through hole.
SOLUTION: In this combustion stabilizing structure, a wick 4 is vertically movably fitted in the space of a wick housing pipe 3 composed of a wick inner pipe 1 and a wick outer pipe 2 and the wick 4 is vertically moved by rotating a wick pipe 7 by means of a wick raising/lowering device 6 housed adjacently to the outside of the wick housing pipe 3 in an air chamber 5. The air flow- through hole 8 communicating the air chamber 5 with the outside air is opened when combustion and emergency extinction are made and closed when normal extinction is made by means of a stop valve 10 which moves in an interlocking way with the vertical movement of the wick 4. When the wick 4 is lowered to the position of minimum combustion, part of the air flow-through hole 8 is closed by means of the stop valve 10 and, when the wick 4 is further lowered from the position of minimum combustion, the part of the hole 8 closed by means of the valve 10 becomes larger and the air flowing in the air chamber 5 is regulated.
