Title:
COMBUSTION STATE DETECTOR FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1122616
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a degree of combustion roughness with high accuracy. SOLUTION: An ion current detecting signal Ip is read in, and rates (output rates) W1, W2 that the Ip becomes less than two judged voltage k1, k2, are calculated (step 103). When an A/F feedback condition is set up, an A/F corrective coefficient k3 is calculated from the output rate W2, and a fuel injection quantity (A/F) is corrected (steps 104 to 106). When an EGR feedback condition is set up, the target mean value x0 and target reference deviation σ0 of the output ratio are read in, and a ratio Δx between a mean value x and the target mean value x0 and a ratio Δσbetween a reference deviation σ and the target reference deviation σ0 are calculated (steps 107 to 109). These Δx and Δσ act as indices showing a degree of combustion roughness. EGR correction coefficients k4, k5 are calculated from the Δx and Δσ, and an EGR quantity is corrected (steps 110, 111). Hereby, the EGR quantity can be set according to the Δx and Δσ, and a combustion state can be stabilized.
