To realize a combustion type heater capable of preheating a fuel supplied into a combustion chamber by disposing fuel a supply means such that it receives heat from a heating member produced in the combustion chamber.

In a combustion type heater which includes an evaporation plate 210 disposed on an inner wall of a combustion cylinder section 212 in contact with the same for promoting evaporation of a fuel; a heater member 214 for firing fuel evaporated by heating the evaporation plate 210; and a fuel supply pipe 22a for supplying a fuel to the evaporation plate 210, the fuel supply pipe 22a includes a metal heat reception section 22b formed into a pipe and is joined with an outer wall surface opposing to the inner wall of the combustion cylinder section 212 where the evaporation plate 210 is disposed so as to make contact with the same. Before a fuel is supplied to the combustion cylinder section 212, the fuel in the heat reception section 22b is preheated through the heater member 214 or a heating source by the combustion.
