To provide a combustion device and jacket, improving heat efficiency while preventing increase in breakage risk, upsizing of the device, and deterioration of maintenance property.
Air in a heat insulating space 18 is heated by use of heat released from a combustion device body 2, and the heated air is supplied into a combustor 7. Since the air in the heat insulating space 18 is used as combustion air, the thermal loss is reduced to improve the heat efficiency. Since the improvement in heat efficiency is achieved without increasing the thickness of a heat insulating material 14 provided within the combustion device body 2, increase in breakage risk of the heat insulating material 14, enlargement of the device 1, and deterioration of maintenance property are prevented. Since this invention is achieved by modifying of an existing combustion device such as covering with the jacket 3, the heat efficiency of the existing combustion device are also relatively inexpensively and safely improved.
