PURPOSE: To package a product, which has such an elastic property that it tends to restore its original shape by its intrinsic elasticity even when it is folded into a small piece, as it is folded double.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of endless chains 11 on both sides is supported on chain wheels 14 and caterpillars 13 are arranged between the endless chains 11 and 12 in a number of rows to form a caterpillar conveyer 10. Since a rack gear 26 encounters a resistance of a cam guide via a roller 28 when the caterpillars 13 move with the rotation of the caterpillar conveyer 10, an arm 22 is turned in the raising direction via a pinion gear 21 with the displacement of the rack gear 26 in the direction shown by an arrow 29. Therefore, an elastic product 33 previously loaded on the caterpillar conveyer 10 is automatically bent. As the elastic product 33 tends to naturally spring off and fly away due to an increase in elasticity of the bent part at this time, a support roller approaches the elastic product 22 to support. After that, the elastic product 22 is bent further by the arm 22 corresponding to the retracting motion of the support roller.
