To provide a commodity reservation system, using a crime-preventive camera, which can effectively deter an illegal action while lightening the monitor burden on a monitori person and enables commodities to be browsed and reserved.

An embodiment of the present invention is provided with an imaging means 1 which can communicate with a customer terminal 20 through a Web site on a network and photographs articles or the state in a store, a display means 12 which displays the picture photographed by the imaging means 1 at the Web site, and a reservation slip issuing means 14 which generates reservation slip data on an article specified according to a request from the customer terminal 20 based upon the display means 12 and sends them to the customer terminal 20. Further, it is provided with a recording means 5 for recording the picture according to an alarm signal from the customer terminal 20 based upon the display means 12. Furthermore, an alarm means 16 may be provided which generates an alarm according to the alarm signal.
