To provide a toll free functional and a collect call function at a communication terminal wile utilizing a caller ID signal by temporarily storing a caller number when that number is sent by the caller ID number and performing dialing back to that caller number.
When a call incoming signal is inputted through a public line 1, as a 1st-order response, a CPU 4 performs a receiving processing of the caller ID signal sent from an exchange. The contents of the extracted caller ID and analyzed and displayed on a display part 10 and the line is disconnected later. It is checked whether there is the caller number in the demodulated caller ID signal or not and when there is no caller number the CPU 4 performs ordinary responding processing. When there is the caller number, it is temporarily stored in a RAM 6. When a caller incoming signal wait timer turns time out in a collect call mode, the CPU 4 judges the side of call originating station expects call back and starts a call back dialing.
