Abstract:

To provide a communication device for position information management that can transmit environment information on a position information management object, while reducing the power consumption of a battery of the device.SOLUTION: A communication device for position information management is provided in a management object, and comprises: a storage unit that stores identification information on the device; an environment information acquisition unit that acquires environment information on the management object detected by a sensor device attached to the device and stores the information in the storage unit; a first communication unit that performs communication according to a first communication standard with power supplied from a power supply unit; a second communication unit that performs, with a reading device, communication according to a second communication standard different from the first communication standard; a first communication control unit that causes the first communication unit to transmit the identification information stored in the storage unit to a server that manages position information; and a second communication control unit that, when the second communication unit receives an environment information reading signal from the reading device, reads out the environment information stored in the storage unit with a power obtained from a radio wave received through the communication with the reading device and causes the second communication unit to transmit the information to the reading device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
