Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a mode variation of connection between electronic apparatuses.SOLUTION: A communication device comprises: a detected mechanism that corresponds to a mechanism built in a second electronic apparatus which receives a baseband signal outputted from a first electronic apparatus and that is detected by the first electronic apparatus when the first electronic apparatus and the second electronic apparatus are connected, the detected mechanism being connected with the first electronic apparatus; a connection part for connecting the detected mechanism to the first electronic apparatus when the connection of the first electronic apparatus and the second electronic apparatus is detected; and a millimeter wave generation part for generating a signal of a millimeter wave band by frequency-converting the baseband signal outputted by the first electronic apparatus into a signal of a higher frequency band than the baseband signal. While the connection part is connected and the baseband signal is inputted, the millimeter wave generation part generates a signal of a millimeter wave band. The present invention may be applicable to a connection or the like for e.g., an USB (Universal Serial Bus) host to recognize a connection with an USB device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
