Abstract:
To provide a communication device and a communication method that can simultaneously direct main beams to reception stations and transmission stations the number of which exceeds N RF systems included in its own device.SOLUTION: A communication device of the present invention includes: a transmission unit configured to generate a non-orthogonal multiplex signal including a downlink signal destined to a plurality of terminal devices; an antenna capable of forming an antenna directivity pattern including a plurality of main beams; and a transmission beam control unit configured to generate a signal to control the antenna directivity pattern. The non-orthogonal multiplex signal is simultaneously transmitted using the plurality of main beams and the number of the main beams included in the antenna directivity pattern is larger than the number of RF systems of the antenna.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
