Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a user of connection abnormality between a communication device and a metering device.SOLUTION: A communication device 2 is attached to a metering device, and a power meter comprises the communication device 2 and the metering device. The metering device measures an amount of power supplied from an electric power supplier. The communication device 2 comprises a first communication unit (communication unit 23), a detection unit 27, and a second communication unit (communication unit 23). The first communication unit transmits meter-reading information indicating an amount of power measured by the metering device to the outside. The detection unit 27 detects connection abnormality between the communication device 2 and the metering device. The second communication unit notifies the outside of the connection abnormality by radio communication when the detection unit 27 detects the connection abnormality.
