Abstract:

To shorten the time needed for a training processing to calculate an equalization coefficient by obtaining the average of whole training signals which are received hitherto at every time when the training signal is received, executing an adaptive equalizing processing based on the averaged training signal and calculating the equalization coefficient.

A transmission training signal transmitted from transmission side communication equipment is received by reception side communication equipment in a distorted state by affective noise through a transmission line. A time domain equalizer TEQ 2 and a frequency domain equalizer FEQ 5 average a reception training signal B(n) by the formula of C(n)=(C(n-1)×n+B(n))/(n+1) when it is inputted. In the reception training signal C(n), the average of noise becomes close to zero limitlessly and to the value of the transmission training signal as a parameter (n) is increased. Thus, the time needed for the conversion of the TEQ and FEQ-processed reception training signal is shortened.
