Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience by providing a means for controlling whether or not to report that the incoming call of a facsimile is present based on setting information set by using a computer present at a position away from an equipment main body.
SOLUTION: Prescribed parallel data are transmitted from a personal computer(PC) 18 through a centronics I/F part 17 to a system control part 1 by an operator, the information is stored in a RAM 3 and the respective kinds of function setting of a facsimile equipment F are performed. The system control part 1 performs the reception operation of the facsimile and checks function, setting information stored in the RAM 3 after reception is ended. Then, so as to report that facsimile reception is performed, buzzer sound is outputted from a speaker 8 or ringing signals are outputted from a ringing signal output part 13 to an externally provided telephone set 19 or transmission is performed so as to display that the facsimile reception is performed at the PC 18 from the I/F part 17 to the PC 18.
