PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for more simply transmitting the measurement result of a measurement instrument to the outside.SOLUTION: A communication function adding apparatus 20 comprises: an attaching unit 21 for attaching the communication function adding apparatus 20 to the measurement instrument; a reader 22 for reading a measurement result displayed on the display unit of the measurement instrument; and a communication unit 23 for transmitting the read measurement result to the outside. While being attached to the measurement instrument, the communication function adding apparatus 20 is capable of reading the measurement result displayed by the measurement instrument and transmitting the result to the outside.
