PURPOSE: To cope with versatile service with a few storage capacity by providing a means storing information relating to the communication service attribute to a subscriber line terminator of a subscriber to which plural channels are set.
CONSTITUTION: An information signal from a terminal equipment 11a is given to an exchange 14 via a line terminator 12 and a subscriber line 15, and sent to a terminal equipment 11'a through a subscriber line 15' and a line terminator 12' after exchange connection. The subscriber line 15 is a subscriber line to set plural channels such as speech or signal channels. Then a subscriber side line terminator 12 of the subscriber line 15 is provided with a storage device 13 storing the information relating to the communication service attribute. Thus, the setting of the versatile communication service and communication method is attained with a few storage capacities.
