Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with an overloaded state of a server for the time being while using existing equipment to the maximum extent possible.SOLUTION: An active server 1a transmits a request to switch from a standby system to an active system to a standby server 1b, and transmits, to an edge router 5, a request to change destinations of signals from accommodated terminals to a load balancer 3 in response to the occurrence of congestion. In turn, the load balancer 3 transfers signals from the edge router 5 to the active server 1a or the standby server 1b switched to the active system. This allows an overloaded state of the active server 1a to be temporarily mitigated while using existing equipment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
