Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow MIDI data to be sent/received directly via a MODEM.
SOLUTION: The system is provided with a storage section 28, a serial parallel conversion section 23 that applies parallel conversion to serial data received via a MODEM 2 and stores the conversion data to the storage section 28, a serial parallel conversion section 27 that applies parallel conversion to serial data sent from an electronic music instrument 4 and stores the converted data to the storage section 28, and a control section 20 that controls write/read of data in the storage section 28. The serial parallel conversion section 23 converts conversion data of the serial parallel conversion section 27 stored in the storage section 28 into serial data, the serial parallel conversion section 27 converts the conversion data of the serial parallel conversion section 23 stored in the storage section 28 into serial data. The control section 20 controls the read of data from the storage section 28 so that the read speed is in matching with a communication speed of a MODEM or an electronic music instrument.
