PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for reliably changing setting of a device.SOLUTION: A communication terminal device for operating on the basis of a signal received from a circuit includes: a detection unit for detecting hook-up of an external telephone set; a mode setting unit capable of setting a plurality of modes; and a control unit for controlling operation on the basis of a mode set to the mode setting unit. The control unit switches the mode set to the mode setting unit if the detection unit detects the hook-up in a state of waiting for a signal from the line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
