Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a character original to transmit by an electronic mail as character data even after reading as image data by converting facsimile to image data concerning read image data and character-recognizing to convert to a character code so as to edit to be a format transmittable as an electronic mail. SOLUTION: At the time of transmitting the electronic mail by OCR processing, a selected line, user's name and an opposite party are temporarily stored in RAM. An original is successively read as dot image data to transfer to an OCR processing part 26 through a switch S1 for character recognition to convert to text data. CPU reads the opposite party a user previously designates and stores in RAM and reads data on the opposite party from an opposite party table. After this, a mail editing part 24 add-processes a mail header and transmits OCR-processed text data as the electronic mail.
