SOLUTION: An allocated TCH number detection means 21 detects the number of TCH allocated from a base station, an allocated TCH number notification control means 22 notifies the number of the TCH detected in the allocated TCH number detection means 21 to a communicating opposite station and an opposite station allocated TCH number detection means 23 monitors reception signals from the communicating opposite station and detects the number of the TCH allocated to the communicating opposite station from the base station. A communication speed request instruction reception means 24 receives a communication speed changeover request from a user through a key input part 30 and a communication speed changeover control means 25 performs changeover control of the communication speed corresponding to the number of the TCH detected in the allocated TCH number detection means 21, the number of the TCH detected in the opposite station allocated TCH number detection means 23 and the changeover request of the communication speed from the user.
