Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of system constitution by setting the data communication speed to two specific values and setting one of them by a switching means to cope with plural data terminal equipments(DTE) different by specifications by one terminal adapter.
CONSTITUTION: A maximum of 24 DTEs 1a to 1x having X.21 interfaces can be connected to a communication terminal equipment 2. The communication terminal equipment 2 can communicate with DTEs 5a to 5x counter to DTEs 1a to 1x through an ISDN 3 and a counter communication terminal equipmenr 4. That is, setting 1 where the originating/terminating procedure speed of the address call is 64kbits/s for the data communication speed of 128k to 1536kbits and setting 2 where the originating/terminating procedure speed of the address call is 64kbits/s for the data communication speed of 128k to 256kbits and is 384kbits/s for the data communication speed of 284k to 1536kbits are provided, and one of settings l and 2 is selected by the switching means like a switch.
