Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a communication system by which image data are surely sent efficiently.
SOLUTION: A CPU built in a personal computer PC executes a scan start command in a step 12. Then a facsimile equipment connecting to the PC starts scanning an original. The CPU executes reception and storage of image data until the facsimile equipment receives a scan end command in steps 14 to 18. When it is discriminated that a data amount M of the stored image data exceeds a data amount M1 in a step 20, the image data are compressed in the step 22 and the image data are sent to a sent in a step 24. The server sends a uniform resource locator URL, denoting a storage location of the image data to the PC. When the CPU receives the URL in the step 26, the CPU sends an electronic mail describing the URL to a receiver side terminal.
