Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal capable of efficiently restraining power consumption in tune with a transmission cycle and a communication environment.SOLUTION: A communication terminal 20 for transmitting data to a computer 50 via a base station 40 is able to switch to a first standby mode and a second standby mode, and selects a standby mode according to a procedure including the steps of: measuring a first necessary time required for communication connection with the base station 40; measuring a second necessary time required for communication connection with the computer 50; measuring a third necessary time required for transmission of data; measuring a fourth necessary time required for disconnection of communication connection with the computer 50; measuring a fifth necessary time required for disconnection of communication connection with the base station 40; and selecting one of the first standby mode and the second standby mode on the basis of a transmission cycle, the first necessary time, the second necessary time, the third necessary time, the fourth necessary time, and the fifth necessary time.
