Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To locate a fault occurrence position and to easily cope with the fault by providing a device that connects to an inter-multi-point communication controller and receives any signal from plural video conference equipments to test whether or not the signal is correct. SOLUTION: On the occurrence of a fault that an image or a voice signal is not normally outputted to a video conference terminal equipment (terminal), the line is not interrupted and a test device is connected to a multimedia multiplex-demultiplexing control section 2 of an inter-multi-point communication controller to receive a signal sent from the terminal. When the test device provides an output without fail, it is discriminated that the fault is located at a receiver side of the terminal or in the control section 2. In this case, a reception signal 201 is looped back and the terminal confirms the image or audio signal. When normal, it is decided that the control section 2 is faulty. When the test device cannot provide an output, it is estimated that the fault is located in a line or at the transmitter side of the terminal.
