To provide a commutator motor which achieves high efficiency, long life and high reliability.
A commutator motor includes a rotor 50, a guide 25, a brush 21 and a brush spring 27. The brush 21 includes non-housing faces on a contact face on which the brush 21 is brought into contact with the rotor 50 and on a commutator outlet side face which is in a direction in which the rotor 50 rotates in the brush 21 and which is a side face on which the rotor 50 is separated from the brush 21. On a cross section of the brush 21 which is along a radial direction and orthogonal to a rotation axis 13, a non-contact face of the brush 21 positioned opposite to the contact face obliquely intersects with respect to a center axis along the radial direction of the brush 21.
