To facilitate removal of a mirror from the rear side of a lid of the compact case for separate collection at the time of disposal.

A front wall 13b or a part of right and left side walls 13c of peripheral walls of the lid 11 is provided with a notch 22. A holder 21 which is composed of a pair of leg plates 19, 19 and a bottom plate 20 bridging a space between the lower ends of the leg plates is suspended from the underside of the outer periphery of a top wall 12 of the inner side of the notch 22. A sliding plate 32 of a sliding member 31 suspending a finger putting plate 33 from the outer edge of the sliding plate 32 is fitted between the bottom plate 20 and the top wall 12. The finger putting plate 33 is positioned in the notch 22. A part of the underside of the mirror 17 is supported by a support plate 37 which is formed of a lower part of the inner end of the sliding plate 32 by removing its upper part. Also, the underside of the other side of the mirror 17 is supported by an engaging protrusion 18 in the inner surface of the peripheral walls of the lid 11 on the side facing the notch 22 and the finger putting plate 33 is forcibly drawn outward. In this way, the support plate 37 can be separated from the underside of the mirror.
