PURPOSE: To make it possible to reproduce a sound from a more natural collected acoustic signal in closed area type bidirectional acoustic communication by providing this compact collected sound reproducing device with an acoustic equalizer part for adjusting the acoustic frequency characteristic of an acoustic signal collected by a sound collecting part.
CONSTITUTION: The compact collected sound reproducing device has a compact acoustic reproducing part 1 to be inserted into an ear hole, a sound collecting part 2 for collecting acoustic signals and a housing 3 for storing respective parts 1, 2. The sound collecting part 2 can be arranged on the outside of the ear in order to improve a sound collecting characteristic. An acoustic equalizer part 4 for correcting the frequency characteristic of an acoustic signal collected by the sound collecting part 2 is also included in the reproducing device so as to divide an acoustic signal into plural frequency bands and individually correct/adjust the gain of each divided band. On the other hand, the acoustic equalizer part 4 can be stored also in the housing 3. Since it is unnecessary to arrange and fix a microphone on a desk to collect sound signals, sound collection can be attained in a wide area and restriction to a working space on the desk can be eliminated.
