A compact device 2 for driving a rechargeable part 1 as a power supply is provided with a CPU reset circuit 100 for inputting, for example, a time-up signal UP of a watchdog timer circuit 6 and a detection signal KB of a voltage detection circuit 8 and for outputting a voltage detection permission signal. Then, when a CPU 5 starts an abnormal operation, the reset circuit 100 outputs a reset signal RST according to the time-up signal UP from the watchdog timer circuit 6 and stops output after a certain amount of time. Also, the reset circuit 100 outputs a voltage detection signal SB2 and the output of the reset signal RST continues when no detection signal KB from the voltage detection circuit 8 is detected, and the reset signal RST is stopped, for example, only when the detection signal KB is detected for a plurality of times.
