Abstract:

To realize a compact range having a characteristic providing a main polarization with a uniform amplitude distribution and uniform phase distribution as polarization characteristic of beam in a test zone and having almost no cross polarization component.

A spherical wave radiated from a horn antenna being an axial- symmetric beam is converted into a plane wave by way of an axial-symmetric dielectric lens having a shape that a dielectric lens of a condensing lens shape of which the cross section in the light axis direction is thicker in the center than the edge part is cut in half with a plane vertical to the light axis direction and surrounded by a wave absorbing material, and then is made incident on a testing antenna placed in the test zone on the extension line of the light axis.
