Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate a self-inflating mechanism for compensating the lowering of tire pressure in a tire.SOLUTION: In an inner chamber of a valve housing in a valve assembly 200 of a tire 12 which has a tire cavity and a pair of side walls 32, a diaphragm fluid communicating with the tire cavity is attached. The valve housing has a passage communicating with the tire cavity and an outlet end portion of the pump. The inner chamber has an inlet fluid communicating with outside air, and an outlet fluid communicating with an inlet and an outlet of the pump chamber. The valve assembly includes an inlet control valve positioned above the outlet and acting so as to open/close the outlet. An elastic member is positioned in the inner chamber of the valve housing, and positioned so as to energize the inlet control valve to an open position.
