Abstract:
To provide a compatibilized composition of a poly(para-phenylene sulfide)(PPS) and a poly(aryl ether sulfone) (PAES).SOLUTION: A composition comprises i) a poly(para-phenylene sulfide) (PPS) and ii) a poly(aryl ether sulfone) (PAES) at a weight ratio of 0.2 to 20 to the PPS; and further comprises at least one alkali metal carbonate of 0.05 to 2 wt.% based on the total weight of polymers in the composition. At least part of the PAES is a reactive poly(aryl ether sulfone) (rPAES).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
