Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the complex digital sampling converter by using a mean base band sample so as to average a couple of quadrature phase Q data words thereby almost eliminating the effect of an analog signal input onto a DC bias and/or the effect of a sampling frequency error onto decoded data. CONSTITUTION: The converter is provided with an A/D converter means ADC 22 that receives an IF analog signal 22a, samples it with a signal having a frequency equivalent to a sampling speed nearly equal to a multiple of 4 of an IF signal frequency and converts the analog signal into a digital data stream and a digital mixer means 24 that converts the sampled data into a base band signal, and also with a means 30 that classifies interleaved successive in-phase I data word and quadrature phase Q data word into a couple of simultaneous I, Q data word streams, with a means 28 eliminating the effect of a DC offset of the analog IF signal fed to the ADC, and with a means 34 that corrects a mis-matching error in the simultaneous I and Q streams. Thus, the converter that is not affected substantially with a modulation signal decoded by a digital discriminator is obtained.
