To obtain a high hardness and high toughness complex tool which improves the joined force with a steel and services an intermediate layer part as residual stress releasing layer, by arranging a cemented carbide having much weldable bonding phase quantity with the steel at a part contacting with the steel of a base material and joining the high hardness and high resistant cemented carbide through the intermediate layer.
The cemented carbide working part 1 of the complex tool is consttuted with a wear resistant layer 1a composed of a WC base cemented carbide containing <3-20wt.% metallic bonding phase and a weldable layer 1b composed of the WC base cemented carbide containing 20-60wt.% metallic bonding phase. This wear resistant layer 1a and the weldable layer 1b are directly sinter-bonded or both layers 1a, 1b having the intermediate layer increasing the metallic bonding phase quantity is continuous state or in step by step from the wear resistant layer 1a to the weldable layer 1b direction between both layer are sinter-bonded. Further, at the time of forming the complex tool, the weldable layer 1b of the working part 1 is sintered to the steel 2 as the base material.
