PURPOSE: To provide a composite cylinder for molding thermosetting resin which is difficult to cause slipping of pellets being a raw material in the transport part of solid resin and has long service life.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder for molding thermosetting resin is constituted by continuously connecting both the transport part 2 of solid resin wherein pellets being a raw material are transported in a nearly solid state and the transport part 3 of semifused resin wherein pellets are transported in a semifused or molten state. The transport part 2 of solid resin is formed of low-alloy steel. The transport part 3 of semifused resin is constituted of a main body 4 formed of low-alloy steel. The internal surface of the main body 4 is coated with a lining layer 5 constituted of high-alloy material excellent in corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance. The main body 4 - the lining layer 5 and the transport part 2 of solid resin-the transport part 3 of semifused resin are diffused and joined by hot isotropic pressurization.
