Abstract:
To provide a component mounting device which can safely close an opening, formed between a base and a cover part, with a simple mechanism, and enables the safe exchange of a carriage arranged at a component supply stage without halt of facilities.SOLUTION: A component mounting device 1, which attaches a component, which is taken out from a component supply feeder 8 through an opening 21 formed between a base 2 and a cover part 11, to a substrate 4 held by a substrate holding unit 2b, includes: a carriage 7 connected to the base 2 in a state that the component supply feeder 8 is positioned downward of the opening 21; a freely bent shutter 13 which is housed in a housing unit 12 formed between the component supply feeder 8 and a substrate holding unit, to open and close the opening 21; a guide unit 16 which guides the shutter 13 while bending the shutter which moves from the housing unit 12 to the opening 21; and a shutter drive unit 14 which moves the shutter 13 along the guide unit 16 to cause the shutter 13 to open and close the opening 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
