PURPOSE: To enable the display of residual data, by adding not only a residual data processing part, a residual data storing and processing part and a residual data storing part but also an order decoding data for processing residual data.

CONSTITUTION: When the composing indication order of a manuscript data is inputted, the composing results of an area to be composed and manuscript data from an A-point to a B-point are displayed on a display apparatus 2. When residual data display is selected from an input apparatus 2, a residual data display order is stored in an order decoding data storing part 5 and a residual data storing/processing part 17 stores composing data in a residual data storing part 16. A display processing part 14 takes out the composing data and displays the same on the display apparatus 2 as residual data. Hereinafter, composing is performed at every composing unit of manuscript data in the order of a data analytical part 10, a composing state check part 11, the residual data storing/processing part 17 and the display processing part 14 and processing is succeeded by the composing state check part 11 until a composing finish state is detected and, after the processing from a C-point to a D-point, composing is finished and all of a residual data display area and composing data are displayed on the display apparatus 2.
