PURPOSE: To simplify a manufacture while holding a severe dimensional tolerance by forming of a hollow tubular body and a spherical elastomer member, and forming to hole the member in the body by a specific seat structure in one end of the body.

CONSTITUTION: A composite tubular device 10 has a spherical elastomer member 14 assembled in an end 16 of a body 12. The body 12 is constituted by all metals like a steel or a brass, and made of a plastic covered with a metal bush or other composite structure. An elastomer ball is molded, for example, by a Buna- N or EPDM. The body 12 has a central slot 18 penetrating an inside in a hollow cylindrical shape, and a seat structure 22 for holding the member 14. The structure 22 is formed of annular ribs 24, 26 with annular elastomer member engaging surfaces 30, 32. Thus, the device having a simple manufacture, a composite structure with a high accuracy is obtained.
