Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a stub-like false twist yarn free from stub-cod-lapse, dispensing with supplemental twisting and sizing and having feeling of harshness.
CONSTITUTION: This is a slub-like false twist yarn consisting of slub parts having a three-fold coil structure in which a sheath yarn coils around a core yarn and middle parts having a single coil structure, which are each alternatively formed. The core yarn is composed of at least two filaments of a polyester undrawn filament yarn having high degree of orientation and an acetate filament yarn. At slub parts, the sheath yarn coils around the outer periphery of the core yarn like a wall. False twist processing consisting of the insertion of the sheath yarn into the core yarn in false twists regions is performed as follows: two or more than two filament yarns at least containing a polyester undrawn filament yarn having high degree of orientation and an acetate filament yarn are used as the core yarn; a core-yarn over feed ratio is 0 to -10%; and the sheath yarn is inserted in twisting regions before the stretching point of the core yarn.
