Abstract:

To provide composite fine particles consisting of dielectric fine particles whose surface is covered with a silica layer and to provide its manufacturing method.

The composite fine particles are composed of a dielectric crystal fine particle whose surface is covered with the silica layer, and an average particle diameter of the dielectric crystal fine particles is 10-1,000 nm, and a thickness of the silica layer is 1-500 nm. The manufacturing method comprises a process wherein the dielectric crystal fine particles having the average particle diameter of 10-1,000 nm and a basic compound are added into a liquid solvent and these are mixed and dispersed to obtain a dispersion, a process wherein an alcoholic solution of a hydrolyzable silicon compound or its oligomer is added to the dispersion to obtain a mixture liquid and a process wherein water is further added to the mixture liquid and the silicon compound is hydrolyzed.
