Abstract:
To provide a composite heat shielding material having excellent heat shielding properties and compression properties even with a reduced thickness of several mm.SOLUTION: A composite heat shielding material is made of fiber molded product containing 55 to 97 mass% of inorganic fiber such as alkaline earth silicate fiber, 3 to 45 mass% of organic fiber such as polyethylene fiber, and 0 to 30 mass% of inorganic particles such as silica fine particles. The inorganic fibers and the organic fibers in a single fiber state are three-dimensionally dispersed, and the inorganic fibers are welded to each other through the organic fiber. Preferably, the bulk density is 300 kg/m3 or more and the compression strain under a compression pressure of 3 MPa is 50% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
