Title:
COMPOSITE MACHINING DEVICE FOR PISTON RING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3835578
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity, and reduce the cost of plants and equipment, the installation space, etc., by the use of a composite machining device for piston rings, which is structured to be able to perform machining of the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of a piston ring and cut-dividing machining of it at the same position of one device.
SOLUTION: The composite machining device for piston rings, is made up of an inner and outer peripheral surfaces machining machine body 1 for simultaneously machining the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of a workpiece 16 rotated around C-axis by an outer peripheral surface machining means 24 and an inner peripheral surface machining means 25 which are synchronously controlled by a NC device 53, and a cut-dividing machining machine body 41 for cut-dividing machining the workpiece 16, the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of which are machined by the inner and outer peripheral surfaces machining machine body 1. Thus, since machining the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of a piston ring, and cut-dividing machining can be successively performed by the installation of one machining device, productivity is improved, and since there is no need for installing plural machining machines, the cost of plants and equipment can be reduced.
