Abstract:

To provide a carbon fiber-reinforced material having a suitable coefficient of heat conductivity and enhanced in the content of the carbon fiber occupying in a molded article formed with a thermoplastic resin.

The carbon fiber-reinforced composite material is produced by impregnating a pitch-based carbon fiber aggregate with a thermoplastic resin. The carbon fiber aggregate is formed by mixing a short fiber A which comprises a pitch-based carbon fiber and has an average fiber diameter of 5-15 m, a value of 5-15% as the ratio of the fiber diameter distribution to the fiber diameter, an average fiber length of 10-100 m and an aspect ratio of 1-20 and a short fiber B which comprises a pitch-based carbon fiber and has an average fiber diameter of 5-15 m, a value of 5-15% as the ratio of the fiber diameter distribution to the fiber diameter and an average fiber length of 0.1-1 mm in a weight ratio of 1/99 to 99/1, and the crystallite size derived from the growth direction of the hexagonal net planes of the carbon fiber aggregate is 10 nm.
