PURPOSE: The titled composition which can cure at low temperature within a short time to form a composite of excellent heat resistance, obtained by impregnating carbon fiber with a liquid resin mixture comprising an amine-derived epoxy resin and a specified curing agent.
CONSTITUTION: An amine-derived epoxy resin having the group of the formula in the molecule, obtained by condensing an amino group-containing compound with epichlorohydrin or the like (e.g., N,N,N',N'-tetraglycidyldiaminodiphenylmethane) is mixed with a curing agent comprising m-aminobenzylamine and/or an m- aminobenzylamine/epoxy resin adduct obtained by reacting m-aminobenzylamine with an epoxy resin (e.g., bisphenol A diglycidyl ether). 70W20wt% carbon fiber is impregnated with the above mixture so that the component A content may be 25W80wt% and the component B content may be 2W20wt%.
