Abstract:
To provide a composite material for sliding in which a substrate and an impregnated resin are excellently integrated, swell of water is suppressed, and which has good mechanical strength as a sliding application without deteriorating property of a phenol resin, and a sliding member equipped with the same at low cost.SOLUTION: There are provided a composite material for sliding having a substrate and a phenol resin, in which the substrate is an unwoven fabric of a polyphenylene sulfide fiber, and the phenol resin is impregnated into the unwoven fabric, and a sliding member having the composite material for sliding arranged on a sliding surface.SELECTED DRAWING: None
