To provide a switch capable of composite operation such as sliding operation and push-in thrusting operation, free of erroneous operation and more reliable, and small in size.
A movable member 1 with a movable contact and an operating member 2 for rotationally moving it or pushing it in are formed separately. A U-shaped engagement portion 2a at one end of the operating member 2 is engaged with a V-shaped cutout 1a of the movable member 1 in transmitting an operation mode. A guide plate 9 is provided for restricting the movable member 1 and the operating member 2 in the moving direction for ensuring conversion of the sliding operation of the operating member 2 into the rotationally moving motion of the movable member 1, and a spring 10 for energizing the guide plate 9 acts to prevent erroneous operation due to the generation of component force in the push-in direction. The push-in of the operating member 2 causes the movement of the movable member 2 to the push-in direction with the guidance function of the guide plate 9 to provide prescribed operation.
